Michael Hathaway, President & Chief Executive Officer
Age 50, Michael started his career in the consumer electronics market, developing digital audio products at Lexicon. He was involved in first generation network switch development where he developed Ethernet and ATM network switches at Xedia Corporation (acquired by Lucent), Ascom Nexion (acquired by Fujitsu). In his role as system architect at BBN Research and Technology he spearheaded research in high-end network routers for the DARPA funded MGR project and was instrumental in the commercialization of the technology and its resulting acquisition by NEC. In 1997, he co-founded IronBridge Networks, a terabit router startup that developed a carrier grade, terabit network router. Hathaway arrived in Austin Texas in 2000 to take the role of Chief Technical Officer for the network processor start-up Agere, which was acquired by Lucent in 2001. He became a venture partner at Austin Ventures, there he advised early stage companies on systems architecture and technology/market strategy. Hathaway has extensive investment due-diligence experience and has advised many venture capital firms such as Austin Ventures, TL Ventures and Granite Ventures on disruptive markets and technologies. He advised clients including NetEffect, Mobile Campus, Calpont Corporation, and Clearcube assisting them in fundraising, intellectual property & patent development, product architecture and corporate strategy.
Christopher R. Wilder, Chairman & Chief Operations Officer
Age 40, Christopher is a technology industry veteran with 20 years of experience in the networking, telecommunications, and software marketplaces. He was the co-founder & executive vice president of research for strategy & analyst firm The Knowledge Capital Group. Wilder has served as a strategic adviser to the marketing organizations at companies like Cisco, EDS, Motorola, SUN Microsystems, Xerox, Sprint, Nokia, Infosys, and TATA. He has a successful track-record as a technology start-up executive that includes being a founding member of ichat (acquired by Apple) which developed the first commercial instant messaging product, SMART Technologies (now i2 (ITWO: NASDAQ)), and call center firm TeleTech (TTEC:NASDAQ). He is a co-author of the book, Influencing the Influencers that has been dubbed as the bible for industry analyst and influencer relationships. In addition, his articles have appeared in the New York Times, Boston Globe, CEO Magazine, and Harvard Business Review, and he is regularly quoted in the business press. In 2009, Christopher was elected to serve on the City Council in Volente Texas where he is directing the efforts to upgrade the utility and telecommunications infrastructure. Previously he was appointed to the Austin City Council's Bond Oversight Committee that directly oversaw over $700M in local municipal bond packages. He also sits on the boards for several civic and private ventures.
Mark “Griff” Griffith, Secretary & EVP Sales and Business Development
Age 52, Griff is a Business & Corporate Development Executive currently residing in Austin, Texas. For nearly three decades he has been providing startup consulting services specializing in enterprise software sales, mergers and acquisitions, and business development. After receiving his degree from the University of Texas, Mark started his first IT business, Genesis Computer Corp, which he effectively built from the ground up and eventually sold. Since his first successful startup, Mark has held numerous executive level positions at Symantec, iChat, SMART Technologies, Microwarehouse/CDW*G and negotiated highly lucrative deals with Microsoft, IBM, AOL, and many others. SMART Technologies was an Austin based business in which Griff was instrumental in raising $24 million in venture capital, growing revenues to $10 million per annum, and eventually selling the company for close to $100 million. Griff’s business acumen and expertise have led him to several specialties including completing complex selling opportunities, garnering third party strategic and OEM relationships, building companies to the point of an acquisition target, and supporting pre-IPO business development activities.
Michael D. Noonan, Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer
Age 51, Michael has more than 20 years of corporate finance, corporate governance and investor relations experience with companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and the American Stock Exchange. Since August 2005 Mr. Noonan has served as Sky Petroleum’s Vice-President, Corporate. He was appointed a Director of Sky Petroleum in November 2005 and was subsequently appointed Corporate Secretary effective April 2006. Prior to joining Sky Petroleum, Mr. Noonan worked for Forgent Networks from May 2002 to February 2006, where he most recently served as the Senior Director of Investor Relations. Prior to working at Forgent, Mr. Noonan was employed for two years from March 2000 to March 2002, by Pierpont Communications, an investor and public relations firm, where he was a Senior Vice President. Mr. Noonan has also served as Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Integrated Electrical Services, an electrical services company, and Manager of Investor Relations and Public Affairs for Sterling Chemicals, a manufacturer of commodity chemicals. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada; a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Economics from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada; and an Executive Juris Doctorate from Concord School of Law in Los Angeles, California.
